For over 25 years Bill’s practice has focused on the successful resolution of commercial disputes.  He has been lead trial counsel in jury and non-jury cases in state and federal courts in numerous states and has tried cases in Nebraska, Iowa, California, Tennessee, and Mississippi.

Bill has pursued and defended claims involving federal securities laws, ERISA, RICO and state law breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and unjust enrichment theories, among others. Bill has been lead counsel in defending several nationwide and state class actions in jurisdictions including Nebraska, Iowa, Mississippi, Minnesota and Washington, D.C. Bill’s practice also includes the defense of accounting professional negligence actions brought against small to medium-sized accounting firms. Bill’s practice also focuses on resolving disputes between owners of closely-held businesses, including corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies.

Recently, Bill was lead counsel in overturning on appeal a $7 million RICO judgment against the First National Bank of Holdrege. An article discussing that litigation and the result obtained can be found on our firm’s publications page.

Bill has been a shareholder in McGrath North since 1983 and currently serves on the firm's board of directors.
