Sandra focuses on consumer product issues, which include safety, marketing, and contracts. Advising clients with respect to safety is a continuum that begins with strategies for preventing safety problems, up through and including product recall management and tactical damage control. Sandra has successfully led clients through the rigorous regulatory and public communications maze attendant to recalls, market withdrawals, and threatened government actions. Proactive efforts such as petitioning the government for regulatory change, interfacing with consumer advocates, and working closely with industry and scientific organizations to enhance her clients’ ability to market and distribute safe products are part of the legal services she offers. Sandra represents clients in the food, dietary supplement and restaurant industries before the FDA, USDA, Office of Inspector General and EPA, as well as state and local agencies.

Sandra also assists a cross section of businesses in navigating the complex state and federal laws controlling marketing claims, sweepstakes and consumer protection, with a special emphasis on complex marketing issues. Successful representation of clients before the National Advertising Division of the BBB is part of her expertise. Contract negotiating and implementation for service providers, and traditional distribution and supply chain contracts for consumer goods, are also included in her practice.
