The McGrath North immigration law attorneys focus on providing business and family related immigration services.

Business Related Immigration   We assist employers and their employees in obtaining temporary work authorization, lawful permanent residency (green card status) and naturalization of citizenship and have done so on behalf of literally hundreds of employees.  We have obtained temporary work authorization for workers in skilled jobs with U.S. firms, for inter-company transferees from outside the U.S., investors, general business visitors and a number of other visa categories.

Family Related Immigration   We have assisted our clients in bringing spouses or fiancés of U.S. citizens and their children into the United States and have also assisted clients with marriages involving U.S. citizens within the United States.

Work Authorization Compliance  We have extensively advised U.S. employers on the legal requirements for employment authorization within the United States including not only advice as to the various business immigration categories, but the obligations under state and federal law to document immigration work authorization.  We have conducted audits of Form I-9 forms, have prospectively advised employers on the correct methodologies, procedures and documents which should be reviewed to comply with Form I-9 as well as the advisability of participation in government sponsored employment authorization programs.  We also have represented employers who have been subject to work site raids by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement segment of the Department of Homeland Security.

Immigration Related Employment Discrimination  We have also advised clients with respect to discrimination charges involving the Office of Special Counsel for Immigration-Related Unfair Employment Practices, concentrating on allegations of discrimination on the basis of citizenship status and national origin discrimination.
