Through Lecia's extensive litigation experience, she has become known for her professionalism, preparation, knowledge of the law, knowledge of the rules of evidence, written work product, and oral advocacy/trial and in-court case presentation—as well as her ability to treat everyone with kindness and respect.
As both an Air Force Veteran herself and as a daughter of an Air Force Veteran, Lecia holds a unique perspective on the world having lived near U.S. military bases both domestically and abroad. She continues to serve in the United States Air Force currently assigned as Appellate Government Counsel at the Air Force Legal Operations Agency, Headquarters JA, at Joint Base Andrews.
Prior to joining the firm, Lecia was a Supervisory Assistant United States Attorney. Lecia worked as an AUSA for eleven years, representing the United States in the District of Nebraska. Lecia prosecuted violent crime and handled matters involving cyber fraud, financial crimes, and white-collar crimes such as bankruptcy, social security, and tax matters. She also served as the District’s Civil Rights Coordinator and Tribal Liaison.
Lecia holds a Juris Doctor (JD) from the Creighton University School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology. Lecia also currently is an adjunct professor at Creighton School of Law teaching legal research and writing courses.
