The McGrath North Tax Group Is Pleased To Welcome Joan Cannon, Peter Langdon And Austin Bradley To The Group.

Joan M. Cannon

Joan specializes her practice in executive compensation, employee benefits and ERISA.

Her employee benefits practice includes the representation of employers and fiduciaries in both the private and public sectors in the design, implementation, maintenance and compliance of qualified retirement plans, executive compensation, non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements, stock plans and health and welfare plans. Joan provides both technical advice and practical administrative counsel for sponsoring employers, plan administrators and service providers. Joan is passionate about having her clients solve – and avoid – employee benefit problems.

Joan is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Law School. She is a member of the Pension Council of the Midlands, the ESOP Association, the Association of Governmental Risk Pools and the Women’s Law Caucus. She serves the community as a board member and philanthropy committee member of the American Red Cross Heartland Chapter and as a board chair of the American Red Cross Midwest Region Blood Services. Joan is also listed as one of the “Best Lawyers in America.”

 

Peter C. Langdon  

Peter specializes in executive compensation, employee benefits and ERISA.

His experience includes serving as counsel in mergers and acquisitions with respect to employee benefit plans and due diligence; representing clients before the IRS and Department of Labor; providing retirement plan design counsel and documentation for corporate, tax-exempt and governmental entities; and advising clients with respect to prohibited transaction exemptions and fiduciary obligations. Peter’s banking background and experience with multinational companies give him a unique perspective and the ability to offer his clients tremendous value.

Peter is a graduate of Creighton University School of Law. He is a past president of the Pension Council of the Midlands, a member of the Western Pension and Benefits Council and an adjunct professor at Creighton University School of Law, teaching Employee Benefits. In law school, Peter was a member of the Creighton Law Review and the Creighton Moot Court Board. Peter is listed as one of the “Best Lawyers in America.”

 

Austin C. Bradley

Austin specializes in the areas of tax planning, estate and gift planning, business formation and planning; and, business succession, exit and shareholder planning.

Austin offers primarily estate planning, wealth transfer planning, estate and gift tax planning, trust administration and tax counsel to individuals, families and businesses. He helps craft innovative solutions to legal challenges facing his clients, making sure they have access to the full suite of resources he and his colleagues can provide. He also has extensive experience in the formation, operation and transfer of interests in corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies.

Austin is a graduate of the University of California Davis School of Law. He also holds an LL.M. degree in Taxation, with distinction, from Georgetown University Law Center. In law school, Austin was honored to be listed in the Order of Barristers and to be a member of the State Moot Court competition team.
