On May 9th, 2013 McGrath North hosted a unique CLE program that addressed the ethical and legal issues that arise in high profile victim funds.
Renowned lawyer and author Kenneth Feinberg, who was appointed to design and administer The One Fund Boston to aid victims of the Boston Marathon bombings, was the expert speaker at McGrath North’s Speaker Series.
His presentation titled “Unconventional Responses to Unique Catastrophes: Tailoring the Law to Meet the Challenges” addressed the practical and philosophical problems of using money as a way to address wrongs and reflect individual worth.
Mr. Feinberg discussed the ethics of putting a “price tag” on a human life, how he approaches his work and his career experience. and insights for resolving high-profile disputes.
