McGrath North Attorney Maggie Rossiter Triumphs at OBA Battle of the Guest BARtenders!

Earlier this week, McGrath North attorney Maggie Rossiter emerged victorious in the highly anticipated fourth round of the Omaha Bar Association's (OBA) Battle of the Guest BARtenders, pitting attorneys against doctors in a spirited competition filled with creativity, camaraderie, and a dash of friendly rivalry.

The event, held at McGrath North Law Firm, attracted a lively crowd of current OBA members, Metro Omaha Medical Society (MOMS) members, and their guests, who gathered to witness an exciting blend of cocktail craftsmanship and entertainment. Teams were comprised of MOMS’ Dr. Santamaria and OBA attorney Maggie Rossiter who showcased their skills in crafting signature cocktails, all while engaging the audience with entertaining anecdotes and competitive banter.

Maggie Rossiter’s winning cocktail, an espresso martini dubbed “The Resuscitator,” wowed the attendees alike, and secured her the coveted title and the bragging rights that come with it. Each guest bartender was scored by each attendee on a 15-point scale based on presentation, execution, and taste, with Rossiter's unique concoction standing out in all three categories.

Speaking after her win, Rossiter said, “I was really excited to be part of such a fun and welcoming event. It was great connecting with members of MOMs and my competitors, and I’m proud to have represented McGrath North alongside my fellow attorneys!”

The evening featured a dynamic atmosphere, further enlivened by the presence of OBA’s in-house mixologist, Dave Sommers, who served as the event's referee and vote compiler. “A big shoutout goes to Dave Sommers for all he did to make this event so fun for everyone,” Rossiter said. “He does such a great job designing events that get us out of the office setting.”

The OBA Battle of the Guest BARtenders not only highlights the talents of Omaha’s legal and medical professionals but also fosters community spirit and collaboration among members. “I look forward seeing who will emerge victorious next year. In the meantime, I’ll be prominently showcasing the coveted cocktail shaker in my office,” Rossiter said.
