Cody focuses her litigation practice on labor and employment law. She advises companies and businesses of all sizes on a broad spectrum of labor and employment issues, including employee handbooks, employment policies and procedures, hiring/firing decisions, discipline issues, wage and hour issues and compliance with local, state and federal laws. She is responsive and pragmatic, helping clients understand their legal rights and responsibilities.
She also advocates for clients in federal and state court as well as administrative proceedings in a wide range of labor and employment matters, such as employment litigation, EEOC and DOL investigations, ALJ hearings, collective bargaining, contract negotiation, grievance arbitration, and unfair labor practice complaints.
Cody earned her Juris Doctor, with High Distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law. After law school, she served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Chief Justice Patience Drake Roggensack of the Wisconsin Supreme Court during the 2015-2016 term.

In a recently issued memorandum, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (“FAR”) Council released the much-anticipated clause that, when included in solicitations and new contracts and contract-like instruments, will require certain Federal contractors and subcontractors to impose vaccine mandates, masking, and social distancing. The clause, and the accompanying memorandum, can be found here. Importantly, The White House also published additional FAQs that clarify the breadth of Executive Order 14042, and which can be found here.
On September 24, 2021, the White House issued its promised guidance for Federal Contractors and Subcontractors with respect to the mandatory vaccination program announced in the September 9, 2021 Executive Order.
